Juvenile Suspects Sought in Brighton Vehicle Trespasses

Staff Report / Brightonlocal.org

The Brighton Police Department is investigating a series of vehicle trespasses that occurred overnight on October 21 and 22. The incidents took place in the area between North 5th Avenue and North 9th Avenue, as well as between Dogwood Avenue and Birch Avenue.

Residential security footage captured multiple suspects, who are believed to be juveniles, carrying weapons while breaking into several vehicles. The video also showed the suspects discharging their firearms, though fortunately, no injuries were reported. An image of one suspect has been provided by the police.

The police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying those involved in the incidents. Anyone with information or additional footage is encouraged to contact the tip line at 303-655-8740.

In light of these events, residents are reminded to lock their vehicles and park in well-lit areas. The police advise that if any criminal activity is observed, individuals should call 911 and avoid confronting suspects directly.
