**Shooting Incident in Greeley Claims Life of 19-Year-Old**

GREELEY, Colo. – A shooting in Greeley on Saturday evening, November 2, resulted in the death of a 19-year-old man. The Greeley Police Department received reports of the shooting at approximately 7:10 p.m. in the 2000 block of 9th Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim lying in the roadway with at least one gunshot wound. They provided immediate life-saving measures while EMS units were summoned. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives and Major Crimes Field Evidence Technicians responded to the scene to gather evidence, remaining for several hours after the incident. It was reported that there was also a motor vehicle accident near the shooting site, involving unoccupied vehicles.

Authorities believe that the victim and the suspect were acquaintances and this was not a random act. The identity of the victim will be released at a later time, pending notification of next-of-kin by the Weld County Coroner’s Office.
