**Medication Take Back and Public Safety Community Outreach Event Scheduled for November 2**

A community outreach event focused on medication disposal will take place on November 2, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fair Haven Fire Department, located at 14447 Fair Haven Road.

The event, organized by Cayuga County Legislator Jonathan Anna in partnership with the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, aims to collect unneeded prescription medications for proper disposal and destruction at no cost to the public.

Acceptable items for disposal include:

- Prescriptions

- Prescription patches

- Pet medication

- Over-the-counter medications

- Samples

- Prescription ointments

- Vitamins

Please note that needles or sharps will not be accepted at this event.

This event provides a safe opportunity for residents to dispose of old medications responsibly.
