At Watkins Glen Central School District, Notre Dame lacrosse junior Finn Schweizer was named the Twin Tiers "Athlete of the Week" after reaching his 200th career goal. Schweizer, a member of the WGND Varsity Lacrosse team, achieved the milestone with a play that earned him the honor.

In addition, WG Freshman Paige Ells from the Varsity Storm softball team was among last week’s nominees for the Twin Tiers "Athlete of the Week." Ells received recognition as ESPN Ithaca’s "Athlete of the Week."
