Tempe Elementary School District's Pen Pals for Seniors Program recently held its annual meet-up events at Scales Technology Academy, Ward Traditional Academy, and Geneva Epps Mosley Middle School. This year, 88 student participants and 81 senior and adult participants had the opportunity to meet face-to-face following a year of exchanging letters and cards. Over 600 letters were exchanged as part of the program, which aims to build connections across generations through written communication.
