Greeley police have arrested Raul Chavarria, 42, in connection with the 2023 murder of Eduvina “Duvie” Maldonado. Maldonado, 47, was found deceased in the passenger compartment of a vehicle early in the morning on December 11, 2023, after a 911 call reported concerns about her well-being. Detectives took control of the investigation at the scene, and an arrest warrant was issued for Chavarria in December 2025. Greeley man sentenced to 159 years for fentanyl, meth distribution

Greeley, Colo. — A man was sentenced to 159 years in prison in Weld County for fentanyl and meth distribution, following the work of the Weld County Drug Task Force and prosecutors with the Weld County District Attorney’s Office, which said the case involved the removal of thousands of fentanyl pills and large amounts of methamphetamine from the community.

CDOT to install traffic signals at CO 52, WCR 41
