**Fire Crew Faces Challenging Conditions Battling Palisades Fire**

Brighton, CO — Brighton Fire Rescue Services reported a particularly tough day for their Wildland Team as they battled intense conditions at the Palisades Fire. The team identified and worked on a large hot spot, dedicating nine hours to mopping up the area without additional support.

The extreme heat of the fire led to equipment failure; one firefighter’s boots melted and disintegrated due to the intense temperatures. The crew member is now working to replace the damaged boots from their supply cache.

The firefighters continue to combat the Palisades Fire, demonstrating resilience and commitment in the face of challenging conditions. Updates on their progress are expected as containment efforts proceed.
