City of Geneva officials have reminded residents about proper use of the Resource Recover Park at 45 Doran Ave. The park is open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Residents are asked to follow product guidelines listed on the container when using the zero sort bins. Items such as umbrellas, baby strollers, and metal tools are not allowed in these bins. Additionally, plastics and CDs cannot be placed in food waste bins, and compostable plastic bags are also not allowed in the food waste bins.

Officials warn that people found leaving trash, debris, or bulk materials outside the gate will be prosecuted.

The park accepts scrap metal, yard debris, and food waste free of charge. For household recycling, residents can purchase an unlimited annual tag for $20. Household trash is managed on a punch card system, where a 52-punch card, with each punch valid for up to two 30-gallon trash bags, costs $75.

Both City and Town residents may use the City’s Transfer Station. City residents must purchase passes at City Hall, located at 47 Castle Street, while Town residents are directed to purchase passes at Town Hall, located at 3750 County Road 6.
