Brighton Honors Heroes at September 11th Ceremony

The Brighton Police Department participated in an annual September 11th ceremony this morning alongside Brighton Fire Rescue. Commander Justin Moore addressed attendees on behalf of the police department. He emphasized the importance of learning from the heroes of 9/11 to strengthen dedication to preparedness, commitment to the profession, and service to the community.
Commander Moore stated, "I challenge all of us to use the lessons and stories of the heroes from 9/11 to fuel our dedication to our preparedness, to enhance our devotion to our profession, and to solidify our commitment to our community." He expressed that by doing so, the memories of 9/11 heroes will endure.
The ceremony focused on remembering and honoring all those who lost their lives, including first responders, survivors, and volunteers from the tragic events of September 11, 2001. The department encouraged the community to #neverforget.
