**Woman Arrested for Attempted Murder After Domestic Violence Shooting**

Greeley, Colorado – On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at approximately 6:45 PM, Greeley Police Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance involving weapons in the 6700 block of 34th Street Road. During the incident, one shot was reportedly fired.

When officers arrived, they found that the disturbance was between a 69-year-old man and his 58-year-old wife, the suspect. The victim was safe at a neighbor's home, having retreated there before police arrived. The suspect had returned to the home prior to the officers' arrival.

Police established a perimeter around the residence and made announcements for the suspect to exit the home unarmed. The suspect eventually emerged without a weapon and was taken into custody without any incidents.

The woman was transported to the Weld County Jail, where she was booked on multiple charges including:

- Attempted 2nd Degree Murder

- Felony Menacing

- Prohibited Use of a Weapon – Intoxicated

- Domestic Violence

No injuries were reported from the gunfire, and there is no ongoing threat to community safety. The identity of the suspect has not been released to protect the victim’s privacy.
