Road closure coming to 59th Ave. in Greeley
Greeley, Colo. — A full closure is planned at 59th Ave and O Street starting March 9, between F Street and O Street, according to the City of Greeley.
Message boards at these locations have been up for two weeks:
- O Street, east and west of 59th Ave
- 83rd Ave, for drivers heading east
- N. 47th Ave, for drivers heading west
- 59th Ave & AA Street, for drivers heading south
Detour options include:
- Coming from the north? Take AA Street
- Coming from the south? Take 4th Street
- Traveling north/south west of the construction? Use 83rd Ave
- Traveling north/south east of the construction? Use 35th Ave
If you regularly travel this corridor — especially to Northridge High School, Tointon Academy, the Poudre River Trailhead or Island Grove Regional Park — now's the time to map out your alternate route.

Brighton Fire Rescue responded to a lightning-caused grass fire and a later dumpster fire at the Riverwalk Apartments. Crews extinguished both fires and crews were on scene to review security camera footage for the second incident.
