YMCA Camp Cory in Penn Yan releases Summer 2026 staff highlights

The YMCA Camp Cory in Penn Yan has released its Summer 2026 staff highlights, detailing three counselors for the season.

Yating Zhang — Senior Counselor

Yating Zhang is from Tianjin, China. She is studying in France and this is her first summer at camp. She is described as active and outgoing. Zhang enjoys exploring new places, sharing stories and saying yes to spontaneous plans. She recently began exploring golf and likes trying new activities that challenge her. She says every day at camp is a new adventure and she looks forward to making lasting memories this summer. Her hobbies include movies, dancing and art and crafts. She wants to travel to the North and South Poles, and her favorite meal is authentic Chinese hot pot.

Miles Rae — Junior Counselor

Miles Rae is from Pittsford, New York. He is returning for his sixth year at camp and this will be his first officially on staff. He is a junior at Mendon High School and hopes to study environmental sciences. He plays soccer year-round for RNYFC academy and hopes to play in college. He enjoys playing guitar, rock climbing, hiking, spike ball and traveling. He also works as a ski instructor at Bristol Mountain. A fun fact: he was one of the first Keuka campers ever.

Maddie Galbraith — Junior Counselor

Maddie Galbraith is from Rochester, New York, and attends Brighton High School. She has been going to camp for four years, and this is her first year on staff. Outside of camp, she plays club and school field hockey. She also enjoys traveling, reading, listening to music and going to concerts.

The camp invites the community to welcome these team members for the summer season.
