Joey Valenti, a ninth-grader at Geneva City Schools, raised over $3,300 in donations and pre-sale chicken barbeque tickets for the Class of 2028. Most of his sales were made to school employees. Joey credited his success to persistence and maintaining a friendly attitude.

Joey, who participates in ice hockey, lacrosse, and soccer, also thanked his parents and the school community for their support. His class advisor, Emily Oberdorf, was also recognized for her efforts.

The chicken barbeque will take place on Tuesday, May 20, during the budget vote at North Street School.
