**Tractor-Trailer Rollover on I-76 Causes Diesel Spill**

Brighton Fire Rescue District responded to a tractor-trailer rollover on Interstate 76 Eastbound, just north of 144th Avenue in Brighton, Colorado.

The driver of the semi-truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for medical care.

The overturned semi was carrying roughly 7,200 gallons of diesel fuel. Responders arrived on the scene and were able to stop a slow leak of approximately 50 to 53 gallons of fuel.

Efforts to safely manage the situation involved a coordinated response with the Brighton Police Department and the Brighton Office of Emergency Management. A specialized offload company transferred the remaining fuel from the damaged vehicle to a new truck without further incident.

No additional injuries or hazards were reported.
