**Brighton Firefighters Balance Grocery Runs and Emergency Readiness**

BRIGHTON, CO – The Brighton Fire Rescue has shared an inside look into an essential part of their daily routine: grocery shopping while on duty. Firefighters, who often work 48-hour shifts, cook and eat meals together at the fire station. This means occasional trips to the local grocery store to stock up on essentials for their meals.

In a recently shared video, the department highlighted why it's common to see firefighters using district vehicles at stores like King Soopers. Even while shopping, the team remains prepared to respond to emergencies at a moment's notice. Their vehicles are equipped and ready for quick deployment, ensuring there is no delay in helping the community when an alarm rings.

This practice offers a glimpse into the daily life of Brighton's firefighters – showcasing their diligence in maintaining readiness while handling everyday tasks during their long shifts.

For locals, if you see them shopping in uniform, know they’re not just on a grocery run – they’re continuing their duty to stay prepared for the unexpected.
