**Man Accused of Selling Vehicle with Tampered Odometer and Connection to Theft**

Authorities in Colorado are investigating a potential scam on Facebook Marketplace involving a tampered odometer and a stolen vehicle. A 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Crew Cab was listed for sale for $11,600, recently reduced from $12,600, in Thornton, CO.

The listed odometer reading on the vehicle was 168,309 miles. However, law enforcement discovered that this reading may have been altered. Police identified Pedro Morales-Garcia, 46, as a suspect in the case. Further investigation revealed a link between the suspect and stolen vehicles, as confirmed by Brighton Police in collaboration with Westminster Police Department.

No additional details about the suspect or other potential victims have been released at this time. Authorities are urging the public to exercise caution when making vehicle purchases online and to verify the authenticity of mileage and ownership records.
