CO 7 Closed for Emergency Pipe Repairs in Adams
The Colorado Department of Transportation announced a full closure of CO 7 between Colorado Boulevard and York Street in Adams County. The road will be closed to all traffic from 5 p.m. on Friday, June 27 until 5 a.m. on Monday, June 30. The closure is necessary for emergency repairs to an old leaking siphon pipe located under the roadway. Water from the leaking pipe has been damaging the roadway, and crews will replace the old pipe with a new one to prevent further deterioration and safety issues. The issue was discovered during the CO 7 Resurfacing Project from I-25 to Brighton Boulevard. Motorists are advised to follow a detour that takes York Street to East 168th Avenue and then to Colorado Boulevard. Delays of five to 10 minutes are expected.
