**Bridge Street Widening Project Update**
The City of Brighton, Colorado, has shared the latest information on the Bridge Street widening project as of November 1, 2024.
Project operations will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Traffic impacts are expected to include temporary striping operations scheduled for Thursday and Friday of next week. These operations may lead to mobile closures and potential delays in the area, and residents are advised to plan accordingly or consider alternate routes.
Permanent traffic realignments are ongoing on Bridge Street between 22nd and 42nd Avenue. Crews are working within the median and concentrating some efforts to the north side east of Telluride Street. At least one lane will remain open in each direction, but drivers should be aware of changing traffic patterns and temporary restrictions.
There is a continued left turn restriction from westbound Bridge Street to 27th Avenue through next week. Additionally, Village Hill Drive and Firehouse Road have been shifted to a permanent right-in, right-out turn configuration, aimed at improving traffic safety in high-risk turning areas.
The west access point to the 27J HR building is currently closed. Visitors are directed to use the eastern driveway off of Bridge Street for access.
Temporary localized closures may occur due to utility operations throughout the project corridor. Speed limit reductions are in effect within the construction zone, and additional traffic enforcement will monitor the area to ensure safety for both workers and the public.
Drivers should remain cautious as trucks and heavy equipment continue to enter and exit the roadway within the project area. All schedules are subject to change due to weather and availability of materials.
